Lovin Life!

The first few months of being married are a little crazy...balancing two lives into one... We like to invite our friends into a big part of our life! I love our married couples to relate to and our single friends who like to pick on us! We spend a lot of time at the Danner's... Carrie and Jesse! This weekend we spent the whole weekend together! It kinda felt like a vacation at home! Carrie and I took a roadtrip to Coats and went to a baby shower... our men missed us terribly! =) Then we spent Saturday night out at the movies, ending in a slumber party! The boys headed off to watch the UFC fight and Carrie and I stayed home, made some cupcakes and watched a chick-flick =) Sunday started with church and a great service...then a nice lunch...break-in at the Shanty(by me)...shopping at Walmart and finally an Awesome Superbowl party! Whew! What a weekend!

Daddy's Angel...

I wanted the dance so much. I thought that I would have it after the wedding but plans change. I got the news a couple of days before the wedding that my dad was too sick to make the trip. He had been fighting cancer for over a year and was losing his battle. After the honeymoon, we got another call. It was only a matter of time and he was getting ready to meet Jesus face to face.
If only there were a rewind button, for now I have faith in His plans.
I spent the next week in Michigan with him and my family...crying, laughing, and letting go. My dad was ready and finally met our Lord on November 23rd, 2008. Ryan didn't get to meet him face to face but the memorial service was unlike any other. Between the videos and pictures that were shared, not to mention the endless, unpredictable stories, he will forever remain a smile on the hearts he touched. We came a long way throughout the journey of life and there have some damaged bridges... now mended by His Hands.
Forgivess and love have a whole new meaning.
I will wait as patiently as I can for the day when I get to see you again
free of sickness and ready to dance the best of dances...
Until then,
I miss you.

Honeymooners!

The big day was over just like that...The Salley's are officially hitched!

We spent the honeymoon in Tennessee! The colors were perfectly fall...Gorgeous!

We walked through the mountains,

rode horseback into the sunset,

Had our first night of heavenly goodness...

Pizza, popcorn, candy, Mt.Dew and Dt.Dew... Our first all night slumber party!!! In the heart of the mountains, he picked the scary movie, thinking he could get me all freaked out and need him to protect me! Hah! Ok, so it worked... hehe!

Pigeon Forge was awesome and the week was a perfect start to the rest of forever!

Praying for this moment, forever for you....

November 1st, 2008

Prepped, planned, nights of not sleeping. Will the dress fit? Do you have the ring? It all comes down to this... Standing in a small room all alone, hoping to not trip over the dress... the doors close and the music says it is almost time... A million thoughts and suddenly, gone.
All I can see is you.
Perfection is captured in joining two hearts.
Today we will marry our best friend,
the one we will laugh with and love forever...
Introducing, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Salley!

Life at the Shanty...

I need to do a bit of catch up... So here goes. Ryan and I got married on November
1st, 2008. This weekend will mark the day we met, a year ago! I can hardly believe it sometimes! We are now living at The Shanty... if you haven't had the chance to come by, let's make a date! It was a bit of a struggle(and still is sometimes) to fit two lives into a tiny space but we have made it our home. In order to really catch up, I need to rewind the past few months. Things have been really crazy around here and we are just catching up!!! We learn a little bit more everyday about what love and marriage is really about. It comes with a few tears, alot of patience, and two hearts who have been molded by hands unseen, fitting perfectly into a plan we can't even begin to fathom. Welcome to our life!

Dress Up Is Still Fun!

So the gals had heard the story.
They saw the ring.
We had lunch and decided that we should take a trip to Davids Bridal...
The slide show "Sneak Peeks" shows the fun day of trying on dresses... I didn't find mine at Davids Bridal, I found it at a little shop and completely unexpectantly!!! That is how life works right!!! There will not be any pictures of my dress until the actual wedding because I can't risk my future hubby seeing it accidently!!! It should be here anytime!!!
